Minoves, Albert

Albert Minoves, Caracas (Venezuela, 1955) Catalan family located in Lleida. The experiences and trips of childhood, up to 10 years old, in Latin American countries (Selva del Orinoco and Pampa Argentina) mark a sensitivity towards natural elements. Likewise, he fuses these experiences with culture and the studies in Art and Design carried out at EINA (Barcelona), and the time at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Barcelona. These two artistic currents and ways of understanding art, to some extent antagonistic. They serve him to investigate and express himself pictorially with personalized techniques and materials. Even creating a new silicone oil painting technique, he has patented it. During his career he has made numerous individual and collective exhibitions. Exhibitions in Spain, Japan, Belgium, France, England, Germany and Cuba. In relation to his work, the artist tells us that the themes he addresses are linked to a search for identity as a human being, and contact with the city and nature. Among other elements, the artist paints and draws "visionary landscapes with reference to vegetation, fruits, leaves, etc. Where white light fights to illuminate and give life."
