Many prestigious artists, both national and strangers, are in its programmings, as well as late artists of the end of the 20th century and this beginning of the 21st century. CANALS-GALERIA D'ART also produces the biennial and roving artistic contest, through Catalunya and the Principat d'Andorra, named Mostra d'Art Contemporani Català, and has taken part in a number of international art fairs.

The Gallery, which actively promotes art at national and international scale, is placed near the Sant Cugat Royal Monastery, built in the XII and XIII centuries, a privileged place for the art near Barcelona.
